Kolkata, April 5 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his dismay on Sunday regarding the unsettling incident in Kaliachak, located in the Malda district of West Bengal, where seven judicial officials were taken hostage by miscreants.
“The entire nation is appalled by the shocking circumstances under which judges were held captive. The Trinamool Congress regime in West Bengal has shown that not even the judiciary is safe. The Kaliachak incident exemplifies the violence permeating the Trinamool Congress government. If the administration is unable to guarantee the safety of judges, how can they assure the safety of ordinary citizens?” the Prime Minister stated during a grand rally in Cooch Behar town, within West Bengal's Cooch Behar district.
This marked his first campaign rally in West Bengal following the announcement of polling dates on March 15.
