Bihar's strong mandate – with the NDA securing over 190 seats in the 243-member Assembly – has energized the BJP's narrative on a national scale.

PM Modi attributed the victory to a powerful "Mahila-Youth" (MY) strategy, highlighting women's empowerment and youth aspirations over "appeasement politics." "Bihar has turned away from deception and division; it has embraced trust and unity. This wave will also reach Bengal," he remarked, crediting the "garda udaya" (storm raised) success to initiatives like free rations, women's safety measures, and job creation programs that attracted a significant turnout of female voters who participated at a rate of 67%.

The reference to Bengal is far from mere rhetoric. With the TMC under growing scrutiny for lawlessness, syndicate raj, and appeasement of minorities, the PM’s comments target the core of Banerjee's 13-year rule. "I assure my brothers and sisters in Bengal: Together, we will uproot the Jungle Raj," he reiterated, drawing parallels to the era of Lalu Prasad in Bihar.

Analysts perceive this as a tactical maneuver, harnessing Bihar's caste-based coalition – from EBCs to Paswans – to penetrate Bengal's fragmented voting demographics, including Matuas and Rajbanshis.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the BJP Headquarters to address party members following the NDA’s substantial victory in the Bihar elections. During his speech, he celebrated the NDA’s success and the developmental initiatives led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, congratulating the citizens for selecting a government of 'sushashan'.

The PM, targeting the Opposition, stated that Bihar has decisively rejected appeasement politics and nepotism as reflected in the election results.

Before him, Union Minister JP Nadda addressed BJP workers, asserting that Bihar has said “no entry to Jungle Raj” through these election results.

After 12 hours of counting votes, the NDA has secured a clear majority, winning over 140 seats. The BJP is headed towards a historic victory, having won 76 seats and leading in 14 others. The Nitish Kumar-led JD(U) has claimed 60 seats thus far. Chirag Paswan’s LJP-RV has won 14 seats.

The Mahagathbandhan is struggling, now barely holding on to even 40 seats. The RJD leads on 26 seats, while the Congress is ahead on five.

With the Bihar election outcomes now clear, the contest has turned decidedly unbalanced. The ruling NDA continues to extend its lead with every passing moment.

Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party, which aimed to be an alternative for the electorate, has yet to gain any traction. Meanwhile, the RJD is finding it hard to even approach 40 seats.
