Siliguri, April 12 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared an engaging video on Sunday from his rally held in Siliguri, West Bengal, where a vibrant crowd erupted in chants of "Modi Modi," cheered enthusiastically, and waved BJP flags.

In the footage, the Prime Minister can be seen capturing the lively scene with his phone, smiling and reciprocating the waves from the vast assembly.

In his Instagram post, PM Modi remarked, "To witness the spirit in West Bengal, come to Siliguri. There is only one political force in the hearts and minds of the citizens -- BJP!"

A significant number of supporters gathered at the rally site in Siliguri to see the Prime Minister and hear his address.

The crowd expressed their elation and zeal about meeting him. The air was filled with chants of "Modi, Modi" and "BJP Zindabad" as they waved the Tricolor, BJP flags, and images of PM Modi.

During his speech in Siliguri, the Prime Minister launched a strong critique against the Trinamool Congress, asserting that the party's focus on appeasement politics is evident in the state's annual budgetary decisions.

"The Trinamool Congress government has earmarked Rs 6,000 crore for madrasa education development. In stark contrast, the budget allocations for North Bengal, the gateway to Northeast India, are almost negligible. This highlights that the Trinamool Congress-led government in West Bengal is solely focused on appeasement politics to cater to a specific community," the Prime Minister stated while addressing a campaign rally in Siliguri, Darjeeling district.

He reminded the audience of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's participation in a Durga Puja carnival in Kolkata last October while North Bengal suffered from severe floods and landslides.

Additionally, he accused Trinamool Congress leaders of supporting the "Tukde-Tukde (Divisive) gang," which has threatened to disrupt the Siliguri Corridor through insurgent actions. "In India, there exists a 'Tukde-Tukde gang' that has recently posed a threat to the Siliguri Corridor. The leadership of the Trinamool Congress at all levels endorses such groups. That is their true character. Only a government led by the BJP can safeguard the Siliguri Corridor to ensure the nation's security," the Prime Minister asserted.

He also accused the Trinamool Congress and the state government of obstructing the Union government from executing Central welfare initiatives in the state.

On the previous day, the Prime Minister had spoken at three major campaign events across different districts of West Bengal. Following these engagements, he participated in an impressive roadshow at Bagdogra near Siliguri in the Darjeeling district on Saturday evening.

As the Prime Minister's convoy traveled through the streets, thousands of individuals lined the route, joyfully chanting slogans like "Modi-Modi" and "Jai Shree Ram." The atmosphere was electric as supporters congregated in large numbers to catch a glimpse of their leader.

Initially, PM Modi was seen seated in the front of his vehicle next to the driver, waving to the crowd. Later, he leaned out of the window, greeting supporters while holding a replica of the BJP's election symbol, the lotus. His direct interaction further invigorated the crowd, amplifying the chants to a crescendo.
