Suri (West Bengal), April 9 (NationPress) An exhilarating atmosphere enveloped Suri in the Birbhum district of West Bengal on Thursday as a substantial gathering of BJP supporters assembled well in advance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public address, eagerly anticipating his speech.

This rally marks the Prime Minister's third public appearance of the day in the state, following engagements in Haldia and Asansol. Even with time left before his arrival, the venue was already brimming with supporters, showcasing the palpable excitement and anticipation among the populace.

Jagarnath Chatterjee, the BJP candidate for Suri, shared with IANS that the energy in the area is a clear testament to the party's growing support.

“The enthusiasm is evident. The ground is already filled, despite the wait for the Prime Minister. Supporters have traveled from various parts of Birbhum. This rally is set to be historic, and we are confident of securing a majority and unseating Trinamool,” he stated.

Ashmi, a dedicated BJP worker, commended the Prime Minister’s initiatives, especially those benefiting women. “Modi ji has accomplished significant work for women. The Women's Reservation Bill is a major advancement that will greatly assist them. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to him,” she expressed.

Another supporter, Anju, conveyed her enthusiasm for the Prime Minister's visit. “We are thrilled and excited that PM Modi is coming to our city. Our expectations from him are high,” she relayed to IANS.

One participant remarked that the state requires the kind of progress witnessed under the Prime Minister’s leadership. “We desire development in West Bengal, and we believe it is achievable under Modi ji,” the supporter affirmed.

Women participants specifically raised issues regarding safety and expressed hope for transformative change. “We are delighted that Modi ji is visiting Birbhum. We want the BJP to prevail here. Women feel unsafe, and our families hesitate to let us go out after 8 PM. We aspire for a safer environment,” voiced a female supporter.

Another woman at the rally described the electrifying atmosphere. “The excitement is beyond words. People are chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram,’ and there is a strong sense of hope for victory,” she shared.
