Bhopal, June 14 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, is set to transfer a remarkable Rs 1,551.44 crore as the 25th installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana to the accounts of 1.27 crore beneficiaries during a special event in Jabalpur on Monday, June 16.
Under this initiative, each eligible woman will receive Rs 1,250 monthly directly into their bank accounts.
This highly regarded scheme was launched during the administration of former chief minister and current Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan just before the 2023 Assembly elections.
Recently, while speaking at an event in Sehore alongside Shivraj Chouhan, now the Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister, Mohan Yadav indicated that the government is contemplating raising the monthly payment of the Ladli Behna Yojana to as much as Rs 3,000.
In addition to the fund transfer, the Chief Minister will allocate Rs 150 crore as ex-gratia assistance to 6,821 underprivileged families during the Jabalpur ceremony.
Furthermore, he will also provide Rs 39.14 crore to over 27 lakh beneficiaries for the refilling of LPG cylinders.
The Sambal Yojana, another notable initiative in Madhya Pradesh aimed at helping laborers, offers a one-time financial grant annually.
This program allocates Rs 2 lakh for permanent disability and Rs 1 lakh for partial permanent disability, along with Rs 5,000 for funeral expenses.
Additionally, women workers are entitled to receive Rs 16,000 as maternity support.
Alongside the one-time financial assistance, the government also covers full tuition fees for workers’ children pursuing higher education.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister will transfer Rs 341 crore to the accounts of 56.68 lakh beneficiaries under the Social Security Pension Scheme.
On this occasion, he plans to inaugurate and perform bhoomi-pujan for various development projects in Jabalpur.
The event, set to take place in Bargi, Jabalpur district, will see participation from several other ministers, including Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Singh Patel.
