Jaipur, December 3 (NationPress) During Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, Rashtriya Loktantrik Party National President and Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal raised a pressing humanitarian issue, urging External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to prioritize the safe repatriation of 61 Indian nationals currently stranded in Russia.

MP Beniwal informed the assembly that many young individuals from Rajasthan and other states had traveled to Russia on educational and work visas, only to be misguided by agents and subsequently sent to the war zone amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.

He highlighted that these youths, including Manoj Singh Shekhawat, Ajay Kumar, Sandeep Sunda, Mahavir Prasad, and Karamchand, have been trapped in military operations for several months, with families unable to contact them for the last three to four months.

Beniwal pointed out that distressed families have protested in Delhi, first at the Ministry of External Affairs and later at Jantar Mantar on November 3 and December 1, pleading for the safe return of their loved ones.

He has also formally submitted the details to the Ministry of External Affairs. Describing the situation as “extremely sensitive and alarming,” MP Beniwal called upon the Government of India to take swift diplomatic action, directly engage with Russian authorities, guarantee the safety of the stranded Indians, and facilitate their return as soon as possible.

Additionally, he demanded stringent legal measures against the agents involved in human trafficking under the pretense of job opportunities, labeling it a “serious criminal offense that must be halted immediately.”
