Bhopal, March 20 (NationPress) A hailstorm alert, along with strong winds, has been issued for seven districts in Madhya Pradesh, including Mandla, Balaghat, and Sidhi-Singrauli, over the next two days. Thunderstorms, gusty winds, and light rain are also anticipated to affect almost half of the state, with unpredictable weather forecasted in Bhopal and Jabalpur.

In light of the unfavorable weather predictions, the Meteorological Department has recommended that farmers finalize harvesting within three days and securely store their crops. Those who have not yet commenced harvesting should delay their efforts for a week to prevent potential damage. Many areas still have Rabi crops, such as wheat, in the fields.

As per the Bhopal Meteorological Centre, a trough of low pressure stretches from central Odisha to southern Vidarbha at an altitude of 0.9 km above sea level. Moreover, a Western Disturbance over Afghanistan is located between 5.8 km and 7.6 km above sea level, and another cyclonic circulation is active over southwestern Rajasthan at 1.5 km above sea level.
