Mumbai, Feb 28 (NationPress) The traffic division of the Mumbai Police has received a WhatsApp message threatening an attack on Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ office. The Worli Police promptly filed a case and initiated an investigation.
According to police sources, the threatening message was sent from a Pakistani number, raising suspicions of a potential plot from the neighboring country aimed at the Chief Minister’s Office.
The individual responsible for sending the message identified himself as Malik Shahbaz Humayun Raja Dev.
In response to this threat, the police have increased CM Fadnavis's security. Officials have confirmed that security measures surrounding the Chief Minister, his office, and other significant government buildings have been intensified as a precaution.

This alarming message to the Mumbai Police comes shortly after Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde received a death threat via email on February 20, which threatened to detonate a bomb in the Shiv Sena leader's car. On February 21, the Mumbai Crime Branch, in collaboration with Buldhana police, arrested two individuals linked to the email threat against Deputy Chief Minister Shinde.
The arrested suspects are Mangesh Wayal (35) and Abhay Shingane (22), both hailing from Deulgaon Mahi in Dehugaon Raja Taluka of Buldhana district. They were subsequently transported to Mumbai.
The Mumbai Crime Branch acted swiftly after the Goregaon police station received the email threatening to bomb the Deputy CM's vehicle. An FIR was lodged at Goregaon Police Station under sections 351 (3), 351(4), and 353(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Despite the email threat, Deputy CM Shinde participated in the swearing-in ceremony of Delhi CM Rekha Gupta alongside Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and another Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, and also fulfilled his public commitments.
