New Delhi, April 19 (NationPress) Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk stated on Saturday that it was a privilege to converse with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and he eagerly anticipates his trip to India later this year.
The billionaire executive and PM Modi previously engaged in discussions covering various topics, particularly the vast opportunities for collaboration in technology and innovation.
“It was an honour to speak with PM Modi. I am looking forward to visiting India later this year,” Musk conveyed on his X social media account.
On Friday, PM Modi participated in a dialogue with the Tesla CEO that encompassed a variety of subjects.
“Spoke to Elon Musk and discussed numerous issues, including those we addressed during our meeting in Washington DC earlier this year. We explored the significant potential for collaboration in technology and innovation. India is dedicated to enhancing our partnerships with the US in these fields,” PM Modi wrote on X.
The Prime Minister had previously met Musk in Washington during his trip to the US in February this year. “Had a very productive meeting with Elon Musk in Washington DC. We explored various topics, including those he is passionate about such as space, mobility, technology, and innovation. I shared India’s initiatives towards reform and enhancing ‘Minimum Government, Maximum Governance,’” PM Modi mentioned on X following their meeting.
In another post, PM Modi shared moments with Musk’s children, remarking, “It was also a pleasure to meet Mr. Elon Musk’s family and discuss a broad range of subjects!”
PM Modi’s dialogue with Musk is particularly timely as Tesla is reportedly preparing to enter the Indian market. This development coincides with ongoing talks regarding a bilateral trade agreement between India and the US.
Union Commerce and Industry Minister, Piyush Goyal, also convened a meeting with key executives from Musk’s Starlink in Delhi this week to deliberate on the company’s investment strategies for India.
“Met with a delegation from Starlink, including Vice President Chad Gibbs & Senior Director Ryan Goodnight. Our discussions focused on Starlink's cutting-edge technology platform, their current partnerships & future investment ambitions in India,” Piyush Goyal shared on X post-meeting.
