Anandpur Sahib, Nov 21 (NationPress) The nagar kirtans (religious processions) honoring the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru, commenced from four different directions and are set to arrive here on Saturday, as stated by Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains on Friday.

A grand reception featuring the showering of flower petals will be extended to all nagar kirtans by a congregation of devotees from around the world.

The nagar kirtans originated from Srinagar, Gurdaspur, Faridkot, and Talwandi Sabo, covering a total distance of 1,563 km.

He mentioned that sufficient arrangements have been established in anticipation of the large turnout of sangat expected to commemorate this significant martyrdom day.

Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been finalized to assist the sangat arriving here.
