P. Rajashekaram was announced as the winner after the seventh round of counting, having garnered 51 percent of the initial preference votes.

To secure victory, a candidate must achieve 50 percent of first-preference votes, leading the Election Commission to declare him the winner with two rounds of counting remaining.

Rajashekaram received 112,331 votes, while his closest competitor, Veera Raghavulu of the Progressive Democratic Front (PDF), obtained 41,268 votes.

Rajashekaram's victory margin was an impressive 71,063 votes. He expressed gratitude towards Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and the graduate voters in the constituency, pledging to address the challenges faced by graduates.

The NDA also secured a Legislative Council seat from the Krishna-Guntur graduates’ constituency.

Senior leader of the Telugu Desam Party, Alapati Rajendra Prasad, was previously declared the winner from the Krishna-Guntur graduates’ constituency, while Gade Srinivasulu Naidu of the Progressive Recognised Teachers’ Union (PRTU) triumphed in the North Coastal Andhra Pradesh teachers’ constituency.

The elections for three MLC seats took place on February 27, with vote counting conducted on the subsequent Monday.

Rajendra Prasad achieved a significant victory in the Krishna-Guntur graduates’ seat, leading by 82,320 votes against his nearest opponent, K.S. Lakshmana Rao of PDF.
