Kochi, Feb 23 (NationPress) As Prime Minister Narendra Modi prepares for his visit to Kochi on March 6 to unveil the NDA’s election manifesto, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) officially launched its electoral campaign in Kerala by opening a new regional office in Ernakulam.

This inauguration, graced by Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, is seen as a crucial step in the alliance's organizational strategy ahead of the Prime Minister’s upcoming visit and the state's elections.

According to party leaders, the establishment of the regional office signifies a shift from preliminary organizational efforts to an active campaign mobilization throughout Kerala.

During a press conference in Ernakulam, BJP Kerala State President Rajeev Chandrasekhar announced that the alliance's election campaign has officially commenced.

“Union Minister Kiren Rijiju ji attended the inauguration of the NDA regional office in Ernakulam. We have initiated our campaign, focusing on development rather than controversy,” he stated.

The choice of Kochi, a key urban hub in central Kerala, highlights the NDA’s goal to bolster its organizational and electoral foothold in this strategically vital region.

This newly launched regional office is anticipated to act as a central point for campaign coordination, facilitating communication among party units and strengthening grassroots organizational frameworks.

While the BJP currently holds no seats in the 140-member Kerala Legislative Assembly, actor-turned-politician Suresh Gopi made history in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections by becoming the first BJP candidate to win the Thrissur parliamentary seat in the state.
