The L-G emphasized that a fresh chapter will commence for those impacted by border shelling during Operation Sindoor and the floods.
"I express my gratitude to HRDS India for their commitment to constructing homes for these affected families. I reached out to the leadership of HRDS India with a proposal for building new houses for them, and they have agreed to undertake this project," he stated.
"An agreement has been established with HRDS India to build 1,500 homes for the affected families. Each house will incur an expenditure of ten lakh rupees, resulting in a total investment of 35 crore by HRDS India for these homes, which will include modern amenities," L-G Sinha further explained.
"All houses will feature contemporary designs and will be constructed using high-quality materials. The construction of these homes is expected to be completed in the next six months, and all individuals from these families will also receive health insurance," the L-G assured.

It has been a challenging period for the residents, as significant damage to infrastructure has occurred due to the floods and border shelling during Operation Sindoor, he remarked.
"I honor the memory of those who lost their lives in both circumstances. A concerted effort is underway to alleviate the suffering of the victims. The administration has taken all necessary steps to rehabilitate the affected families, and various agencies have tirelessly worked to save many lives," he stated.

"The administration has stepped forward to assist these families, offering jobs and compensation to those impacted by Pakistani shelling," he asserted.
He highlighted the significant transformation in Jammu and Kashmir over recent years, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for implementing various initiatives aimed at the overall development of the Union Territory.
The L-G pointed out that schemes like the PM Awas Yojana have greatly benefited rural residents.
