Patna, Oct 25 (NationPress) As the Bihar Assembly elections of 2025 approach, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar ramped up his campaign efforts on Saturday, addressing a substantial crowd at the Raj High School ground in Dumraon, located in Buxar district.
He emphasized the notable accomplishments of his administration over the past two decades, calling on voters to secure a decisive victory for NDA-endorsed candidates across all four assembly constituencies in the district.
The Chief Minister reminded attendees of the turbulent and lawless conditions that plagued Bihar prior to 2005, contrasting this with what he referred to as a period marked by development, stability, and effective governance under his guidance.
"Before 2005, Bihar was synonymous with chaos and mismanagement. We have completely transformed that perception of our state. Our priorities have included education, healthcare, and the empowerment of women," stated Nitish Kumar.
Enumerating key achievements, he mentioned the establishment of polytechnic and engineering colleges, enhancements in school and healthcare infrastructure, and an extensive road network that has substantially reduced travel time from Dumraon to Patna from six hours to just one and a half hours.
Additionally, he claimed that 40 lakh youths have benefited from employment opportunities, while 1.21 crore women received financial aid of Rs 10,000 for self-employment ventures.
“We have ensured a 35 percent reservation for women in government jobs within Bihar, increased honorariums for physical teachers, cooks, Anganwadi workers, and assistants, and enhanced social security pensions for widows, the elderly, and those with disabilities. Our vision for the next five years is to create jobs for one crore young individuals,” he declared, eliciting enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Nitish Kumar also affirmed that his government has decisively established the rule of law in Bihar.
“Today, order and peace prevail in our state. We are committed to working for the welfare and prosperity of every community,” he concluded.
