Patna, Jan 23 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, is set to visit Saharsa on Thursday as part of his Pragati Yatra. Preparations are in full swing for his visit, with stringent security measures implemented to guarantee a seamless experience.
During his visit, the Chief Minister is anticipated to tour the villages of Menha and Vishanpur, where extensive arrangements have been made. The roads connecting Menha to Vishanpur, along with the governmental facilities along the way, have been beautifully adorned.
Beneficiaries in the Menha Mahadalit Tola have been provided with amenities such as paved roads, electricity, water taps, animal shelters, goat shelters, Indira Awas housing, pensions, and toilets. The Menha Health Sub-Centre has undergone renovations, featuring a new boundary wall and a freshly painted structure. Health services have been reinstated and are operating effectively.
Reports indicate that Nitish Kumar will arrive in Saharsa via helicopter. A helipad has been constructed for this purpose, and from there, the Chief Minister will proceed directly to the hostel in Menha to inaugurate it.
Following this, he will evaluate various locations, including a Health Sub-Centre, school, Anganwadi Centre, pond, river, playground, and the Panchayat Government Building. Administrative preparations are intensifying, with local officials and JDU workers stationed in the area to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
Barricades have been established around the helipad, hostel, Tilave River, and the fairground. Security has also been bolstered near Vishanpur School and the Panchayat Government Building.
After Saharsa, there are no planned activities for the Pragati Yatra on January 24, 25, and 26, as the Republic Day celebrations are scheduled for those dates.
As part of the Pragati Yatra on Wednesday, Nitish Kumar inaugurated and laid the foundation for multiple development initiatives in Araria district. During his visit, the Chief Minister inspected the renovated Balua Pond located in Balua village, which is part of Hansa Panchayat in Raniganj block. This renovation was part of the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan, aimed at enhancing environmental sustainability.
CM Nitish Kumar commenced the Pragati Yatra on December 23. Since 2005, he has conducted nearly 15 yatras across the state under various titles.
