Patna Civil Surgeon Dr Avinash Kumar Singh confirmed that Dr Nusrat Parveen also did not show up for duty on Wednesday.

He mentioned that the health department had already granted a deadline extension once, and no further extensions have been provided.

Dr Singh stated, “The chances of her joining now are very slim.” Nonetheless, he clarified that if Dr Nusrat Parveen files a written request to the Health Department detailing her reasons for not joining on time, her situation may be reviewed only if the department issues specific directives.

He further emphasized that such requests are evaluated rigorously at the departmental level, and no local decisions can be made without official sanction.
