Srinagar, April 25 (NationPress) The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, emphasized on Friday that every individual involved in and supporting the Pahalgam terrorist attack must be actively pursued.

The L-G assessed the security situation alongside the Army Chief and senior commanders from the Northern Command.

According to officials, the L-G urged Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, who visited him, to implement effective measures to ensure that those accountable for the Pahalgam terror attack face justice, while also heightening efforts to dismantle the terrorism infrastructure and its support system.

“In the discussions, the Lieutenant Governor expressed that the nation fully trusts the courage and determination of our Army, police, and CAPFs. They need to collaborate closely to identify the culprits, enablers, and OGWs in connection with the Pahalgam massacre and systematically neutralize the entire network involved,” stated the Lieutenant Governor to the senior Army officials.

“Every individual involved in and supporting the Pahalgam terror attack, irrespective of their location or affiliations, must be pursued relentlessly, and they must face severe consequences for this cowardly and despicable act against our citizens,” the Lieutenant Governor remarked.

The meeting also evaluated existing security measures, as well as various short-term and long-term strategies, focusing on the integration and coordination among different security agencies.

Attendees of the meeting included Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, GOC-in-C Northern Command Lt Gen M.V. Suchindra Kumar, Deputy Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, and GoC 15 Corps Lt Gen Prashant Srivastava.

In a brutal assault, terrorists took the lives of 26 civilians, comprising 25 tourists and one local resident, in the Baisaran meadow of Pahalgam on April 22.
