Parents of Meerut Woman Who Killed Her Husband Demand Death Penalty

Meerut, March 19 (NationPress) The parents of Muskaan Rastogi -- a woman charged with the brutal murder of her husband, Merchant Navy officer Saurabh Rajput, along with her accomplice Sahil, are calling for her to be executed.

They expressed to the media: “She doesn’t deserve to live…hang her.”

Muskaan, a resident of Meerut, is alleged to have murdered her husband with the aid of her lover, Sahil, dismembering his body into pieces and placing the remains in a plastic drum, which they sealed with cement.

They are demanding justice for Saurabh, who was employed as a Merchant Navy officer in a US-based company.

He had returned home in February to celebrate his six-year-old daughter’s birthday.

However, on March 4, the celebrations turned tragic. Muskaan, along with her lover Sahil Shukla, repeatedly stabbed Saurabh, mutilating his body into fifteen parts.

Muskaan and Sahil concealed Saurabh's remains in a plastic drum, sealed it with cement, and fled to the hills.

They attempted to mislead everyone by using Saurabh's phone to post false images to cover up their crime. However, their scheme unraveled when Saurabh's family sought legal action.

During interrogation, both Muskaan and Sahil broke down and confessed to their heinous act.

Police opened the drum, recovering Saurabh's dismembered body for an autopsy.

Meanwhile, a furious group of lawyers confronted Muskaan Rastogi and her lover Sahil Shukla outside the CJM court on Wednesday.

Muskaan, the heartless wife who had brutally murdered her husband Saurabh Rajput, stood beside Sahil, who was also dressed in tattered clothes. The police had to intervene to protect the couple from the crowd.

Subsequently, they were taken into the courtroom, where Muskaan's vermilion mark -- a symbol of her shattered marriage -- drew attention.

When questioned about it, she remained silent, her guilt apparent.

Lawyers then expressed their outrage, confronting them in front of law enforcement.

Muskaan's parents, Pramod and Kavita, who reside in Meerut, disowned her, labeling her actions as unforgivable.

They revealed that Saurabh had deeply loved Muskaan but lost everything due to her betrayal.

Muskaan confessed to her parents that she and Sahil had killed Saurabh, leading them to turn her over to law enforcement.

They attributed her actions to drug addiction and her affair with Sahil, fearing Saurabh would disrupt their lifestyle.

They stated that Saurabh had always supported Muskaan, even during difficult times. He sacrificed his career for her, but their relationship fell apart.

Muskaan's affair with Sahil raised suspicions and ultimately led to murder.

Their six-year-old daughter is now under the care of Muskaan's parents, who mourn Saurabh as their own.

“We handed her over,” a report quoting Kavita stated, “She was the issue.”

The Rastogis continue to grieve for him as if he were their son. “He was our son too,” Kavita laments.

“He sacrificed everything for her, and she repaid him with death.”

Saurabh and Muskaan fell in love and married in 2016, but their relationship quickly deteriorated. Saurabh relinquished his career for Muskaan, leading to family conflicts.

They moved into a rented apartment and welcomed a daughter in 2019. Unfortunately, their happiness faded into distrust when Saurabh learned of Muskaan's affair with Sahil.

Though they considered divorce, Saurabh decided to remain for the sake of their daughter.

In 2023, while he was away on duty, Muskaan and Sahil meticulously planned and executed a shocking murder.
