Chief Minister Mohan Yadav ceremonially raised the national flag during an event held on the banks of the revered Shipra River in Ujjain, where he also reviewed the parade.

Yadav released tricolour balloons into the clear sky at Sunheri Ghat, situated on the banks of the Shipra River at the Kartik Mela Ground, symbolizing a message of patriotism and community service.
The Republic Day festivities featured an array of cultural acts, dog squad demonstrations, folk dances in Ujjain, and tableaux highlighting initiatives such as the bullet train, air ambulance service, and forestry programs.
During his address, the Chief Minister expressed his warm congratulations and best wishes to the people of the state on Republic Day, delivering an inspiring message.
“A deep sense of patriotism and national pride is growing within the hearts and minds of our citizens. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India's standing is rising globally,” he remarked.
In his speech, Yadav highlighted PM Modi's commitment to uplifting the poor, youth, farmers, and women. “The Madhya Pradesh government is steadfast in its dedication to achieving this vision. We have initiated four significant missions to enhance knowledge,” he stated.
Yadav announced that the state government would designate 2026 as the Year of Farmer Welfare. He noted that the budget allocation for agriculture and related sectors has surged from Rs 600 crore in 2002-03 to over Rs 27,050 crore in 2024-25.
Cabinet Ministers raised the national flags in their designated districts, while leaders from both the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress hoisted the tricolour at their respective offices.
