Pavithra Gowda, Darshan's Partner, Granted Bail in Renukaswamy Murder Case

Bengaluru, Dec 17 (NationPress) Pavithra Gowda, a 33-year-old actress and partner of Kannada superstar Darshan, was granted bail and released from Parappana Agrahara Central Prison in Bengaluru on Tuesday. This marks her exit from incarceration six months after her apprehension, where she appeared calm and collected.
The Karnataka High Court approved bail for Darshan, Pavithra, and several others on December 13.
Sources indicate that Pavithra's release was postponed due to technical issues and the completion of bail prerequisites.
Investigations disclosed that Pavithra was significantly involved in the murder of Renukaswamy. Initially, it was thought that she had only slapped the victim with slippers and was present during the time Renukaswamy was brutally attacked. However, deeper inquiries revealed that Pavithra told Renukaswamy he did not deserve to live when he implored for mercy.
The investigation report detailed, "Pavithra, who arrived at the crime scene with Darshan, was reportedly instructed to confront Renukaswamy for sending inappropriate images and offensive messages. By that time, Renukaswamy had endured severe beating and was left bleeding and marked with injuries by a group of 15 individuals, including Darshan."
According to police sources, bloodstains from Renukaswamy were traced on Pavithra's footwear and garments. Reports from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) confirmed the presence of Renukaswamy's blood on the clothes that were seized from Pavithra.
The investigation also uncovered that following the brutal murder, Pavithra went to a beauty spa the very next day. She was subsequently called in by the police and taken into custody. Pavithra is accused of inciting, conspiring, and partaking in the criminal act.
Pavithra is among several individuals charged, including the third accused Puttaswamy alias Pavan K., 29; the fourth accused, Raghavendra, 43; the fifth accused, Nandeesha, 28; the sixth accused, Jagadish alias Jagga, 36; the seventh accused, Anukumar alias Anu, 25; the eleventh accused, Nagaraju; the twelfth accused, Lakshmana; the thirteenth accused, Deepak; and the sixteenth accused, Keshavamurthy, all accused of being directly involved in this atrocious crime, according to the chargesheet.
Darshan, Pavithra Gowda, and 15 others were detained on June 11 on counts of kidnapping and the brutal murder of Renukaswamy, a fan from Chitradurga. Renukaswamy reportedly sent lewd and derogatory messages to Pavithra Gowda, feeling disheartened that Darshan continued a relationship with her despite being married.
Currently, the Karnataka Police are contemplating an appeal to the Supreme Court to contest the High Court's bail decision for Darshan.
Pavithra, a divorced individual and single mother, has acted in both Tamil and Kannada films. She describes herself as a fashion designer, model, artist, and the managing director of a boutique.
The social media disputes between Pavithra and Darshan's wife Vijayalaxmi led to divisions among Darshan's fans. Renukaswamy, who sided with Vijayalaxmi, criticized Pavithra, a conflict that ultimately culminated in his violent death, as per police investigations.
