Amaravati, January 28 (NationPress) The Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan, met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Wednesday to discuss several ongoing issues facing the state.
The leader of the Jana Sena party shared on social media that his meeting with Amit Shah was substantial.
“We had in-depth discussions regarding the persistent issues in Andhra Pradesh, alongside other significant public and administrative matters,” he remarked.
Pawan Kalyan expressed his gratitude to Amit Shah for allowing the Kakinada district administration to present their proposal concerning the Uppada sea protection wall before the Technical Advisory Committee of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
Additionally, Pawan Kalyan met with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to enhance the rail infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh.
During their meeting, they focused on the development of Pithapuram Railway Station, the construction of a Road Over Bridge, and various key railway projects in the region.
“I urged that Pithapuram, a significant spiritual hub frequented by devotees nationwide, be developed as a model station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, and that the Road Over Bridge be initiated under the PM Gati Shakti programme,” he stated.
Pawan Kalyan noted that he was warmly received by Ashwini Vaishnaw, and the discussions were held in a positive and constructive manner. He responded favorably to all proposals and assured that they would be given serious consideration.
The Deputy Chief Minister praised the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that Indian Railways is progressing with a robust development focus. He extended his thanks to Ashwini Vaishnaw for his encouraging support for railway development in Kakinada district and throughout the state.
In related news, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu conducted a review of railway projects in the state during a meeting at the Secretariat in Amaravati.
The Chief Minister assessed rail connectivity from various ports within the state and from neighboring states including Telangana, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh.
Senior officials from South Central Railway, East Coast Railway, and South Coast Railway participated in the meeting.
