New Delhi, Dec 31 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his heartfelt wishes to the citizens on the second anniversary of Lord Ram's 'Pran Pratishtha' event at Ayodhya's Ram Mandir, referring to it as a 'divine festival' celebrating faith and traditions.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is commemorating the second anniversary of Ram Lalla's Pran Pratishtha, which took place on the Dwadashi of Paush Shukla Paksha in 2024.
The idol was consecrated on January 22, 2024, during a momentous ceremony presided over by Prime Minister Modi.
In a message shared on X, PM Modi expressed, 'Today, we are celebrating the second anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla on the sacred soil of Ayodhya Ji. This anniversary represents a divine festival of our faith and traditions. On this auspicious occasion, I extend my heartfelt salutations and reverence to Lord Shri Ram from all Ram devotees across the globe! My sincere wishes to all citizens.'
PM Modi also visited the historic temple on November 25 for the Dhwajarohan (flag-hoisting ceremony), which symbolized the completion of Ram Mandir.
He remarked that through the 'boundless grace and blessings' of Lord Ram, the centuries-old aspiration of numerous Ram devotees has been realized.
'Today, Ram Lalla is once again enshrined in his magnificent abode, and Ayodhya’s flag of dharma stands as a testament to this consecration on the twelfth day. I feel fortunate to have participated in the sacred establishment of this flag last month.'
He urged citizens to take inspiration from Lord Ram, known as 'Maryada Purushottam', and work towards fostering an 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' (self-reliant India).
'I hope that the teachings of Maryada Purushottam will deepen the sentiments of service, commitment, and compassion in every citizen's heart, which will serve as a robust foundation for building a prosperous and self-reliant India. Jai Siyaram!' he concluded.
The main festivities for the second anniversary are scheduled for today and tomorrow, while the Pran Pratishtha Dwadashi will continue through Friday.
Rituals within the temple complex have been ongoing since Saturday.
Officials predict that approximately 500,000 to 600,000 devotees will flock to Ayodhya for Ram Lalla's darshan during the celebrations.
