In the previous Cabinet meeting on May 14, the government sanctioned the creation of a sixth semiconductor unit in Uttar Pradesh as part of the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM).
This new facility, a collaboration between HCL and international electronics leader Foxconn, will be built near the upcoming Jewar Airport in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region.
