New Delhi, March 28 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Noida International Airport on Saturday, marking a significant development aimed at enhancing connectivity and stimulating economic growth in the National Capital Region (NCR) and adjacent areas.
The occasion will feature a public address by the Prime Minister, where he will emphasize the airport's strategic and developmental importance.
In discussions with IANS, numerous BJP supporters conveyed their excitement regarding the airport and its anticipated influence.
A supporter from Bulandshahr stated, “All the districts surrounding the airport, including mine, are clearly experiencing development thanks to the Jewar Airport. The emergence of warehouses, hotels, and industries is invigorating the youth. The enthusiasm shown by the youth today in expressing gratitude to PM is a sign of new energy, and our district is poised for even greater progress in the future.”
Another supporter, engaged in local industries, remarked, “I firmly believe that within this year, you will witness a remarkable transformation in Uttar Pradesh and the NCR region, extending across the nation. World-class industries are establishing themselves here, including tractor manufacturers and various foreign production firms. This will create job opportunities for about 10,000 local residents, enhance development, and uplift per capita income.”
Commenting on the airport’s role in the political and developmental context, another BJP supporter said, “Previously, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s administration, an airport like this seemed unimaginable. Akhilesh Yadav had plans to relocate it to Etawah, so we express our gratitude to CM Yogi and PM Modi, who is globally recognized, for this progress.”
Residents also pointed out the extensive implications of the airport on lifestyle and infrastructure.
“This is a truly historic day for Gautam Buddha Nagar district and Greater Noida,” said one supporter. “Our lifestyle will improve, and daily life will become more convenient following today’s inauguration. This development is benefiting the community in numerous ways.”
Another BJP supporter added, “This stands as a historic accomplishment for the region's inhabitants. With the Noida International Airport, this area is receiving a monumental gift. It’s a historic moment not just for local residents but also for those in the nearby districts and throughout western Uttar Pradesh.”
The airport boasts a 3,900-meter runway and covers 1,334 hectares. Domestic flights are anticipated to commence by late April, enhancing connectivity throughout the NCR region and sparking further industrial, commercial, and infrastructural advancement.
Today’s inauguration by Prime Minister Modi will signify a pivotal moment in India’s aviation industry and serves as a symbolic milestone for the growth of western Uttar Pradesh.
