In his 120th episode of the monthly radio show 'Mann Ki Baat', he encouraged students to explore new hobbies and enhance their skills during the lengthy summer days.
"With exams behind us, many schools are gearing up for new classes. The much-anticipated summer vacation is just around the corner, a time that children look forward to each year," he stated.
Reflecting on his own childhood, the Prime Minister recalled, "I fondly remember my youth when my friends and I often engaged in playful mischief, yet we also dedicated time to constructive activities and learning new things. The summer days are long, providing children with plenty of time for various pursuits. This is the perfect opportunity to embrace a new hobby and build upon one's skills. Today, we have numerous platforms available for children to learn from."
He pointed out technological camps that focus on app development and open-source software, alongside courses related to the environment, theatre, and leadership.
Encouraging involvement in volunteer work, he remarked, "In addition, there are many opportunities to participate in volunteer services during these holidays. I have a special request concerning such programs. If any organization, school, social institution, or science centre is organizing such activities, please share it with the hashtag 'My Holidays'. This will help children and their parents nationwide access this information."
PM Modi also mentioned the 'My Bharat' special calendar prepared by the government for summer vacation.
He highlighted initiatives like the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme, ELP at Jan Aushadhi Kendras, and the Ambedkar Jayanti Padyatra.
Encouraging children and parents to share their experiences using the hashtag 'Holiday Memories', he concluded, "I will strive to include your experiences in the forthcoming Mann Ki Baat."
