Patna, Oct 24 (NationPress) On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched his Bihar Assembly election campaign in Samastipur, delivering a pointed critique of the RJD-Congress coalition and asserting that Bihar no longer requires the lantern—an emblematic jab at the RJD’s electoral symbol.
Addressing an enthusiastic crowd, PM Modi commenced his address with a theatrical move, urging attendees to illuminate the ground with their mobile flashlight. As the venue glowed, he remarked, “With so much light shining here, what’s the necessity for a lantern?”
The audience erupted in cheers as the Prime Minister seized the moment to underscore the significant advancements Bihar has experienced under the NDA administration.
He highlighted that currently, 1 GB of data is cheaper than a cup of tea, stating that this digital revolution has empowered the youth of Bihar.
“The youngsters creating reels represent the new wave of creativity in Bihar. The NDA’s initiatives have enabled them to monetize and showcase their abilities. This digital Bihar is a testament to our reforms,” he asserted.
PM Modi stressed how the flagship program, the Jan Dhan Yojana, has facilitated millions of bank accounts, ensuring that government benefits are delivered directly and transparently to the populace.
“In the previous administration, funds would vanish before reaching the intended recipients. Now, every rupee dispatched from Delhi arrives in the beneficiary’s account without any leakages,” he emphasized.
Criticizing the RJD and Congress, he accused them of prioritizing their family's political ambitions over the welfare of the people in Bihar.
“Bihar is the birthplace of Aryabhata, the legendary mathematician. The youth here are astute and aware. The citizens of Bihar will respond decisively to those who propagate falsehoods,” he proclaimed.
In a direct confrontation with Tejashwi Yadav and the Grand Alliance, the Prime Minister recalled that 2005 marked the year Bihar liberated itself from RJD’s ‘jungle raj’ (lawlessness) and ushered in a new era of effective governance under Nitish Kumar.
“During the UPA government, the RJD sought vengeance against Bihar and hampered its development. Today, Bihar stands proud with progress and achievements,” he stated.
Highlighting significant development initiatives, PM Modi remarked, “The NDA administration has allocated three times more funding to Bihar than the Congress-led UPA ever did. Today, Vande Bharat trains are operational, Darbhanga airport is functional, new railway lines and power plants are under construction, and investment opportunities are surging. The day is near when every district in Bihar will host its own startups.”
Wrapping up his address, PM Modi expressed confidence that the people of Bihar would once again rally behind the NDA.
“With Nitish Kumar at the helm, Bihar is advancing towards development and effective governance. This time, the NDA will secure a substantial majority,” he concluded, as the crowd chanted, “Phir Ek Baar, NDA Sarkar!”
