Patna, Nov 6 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while campaigning for the second phase of the Bihar elections, highlighted the roadmap for the state’s progress under the double-engine government, which includes establishing semiconductor units and acknowledged the 'foundational work' accomplished over the years to support such initiatives.
During his second public address in Bhagalpur on Thursday, PM Modi criticized the RJD-Congress alliance for ‘plundering’ the state and its citizens, putting their own interests above those of the populace.
He stated that the Nitish government has disbursed Rs 10,000 to each of the over 1.40 crore women to launch their businesses, asserting that had the Grand Alliance been in power, they would have misappropriated these funds.
PM Modi emphasized that the NDA government has created Jeevika Didis and Lakhpati Didis, integrating them into the banking system through the opening of Jan Dhan accounts, and noted that such initiatives were absent during the opposition's prolonged governance.
“Narendra Modi initiated the opening of Jan Dhan accounts for women. Nitish ji's administration is directly crediting Rs 10,000 into the accounts of women to help them start new businesses. Up to now, this financial aid has reached the accounts of 1.40 crore women,” he remarked.
“Consider if Bihar's most corrupt family, along with the country's most corrupt family, currently out on bail, had been in charge—this money wouldn't have reached women, but would have been hoarded by Congress and RJD leaders,” he added.
Reiterating his claim of ‘Congress ki Kanpatti par katta’ regarding the theft of the Chief Ministerial position, he pointed out the public discord within the Grand Alliance.
“You see RJD posters throughout the city, but have you spotted any poster of Congress ‘naamdar’—a nod to Rahul Gandhi? Even if there is one, it would require a magnifying glass to see it. Similarly, in Congress rallies, mentioning RJD leaders is avoided,” he noted.
Further criticizing the 'opportunistic' coalition, PM Modi asserted that factions battling for their political gains can never serve Bihar’s best interests.
He also accused the RJD and Congress of sowing division among the people of Bihar based on caste and religion.
“Congress can never absolve itself of the Bhagalpur massacre; that stain will remain with the party like the Sikh massacre. Their policies forced the people of Bihar to migrate to other states,” he concluded.
