Hyderabad, May 18 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shared his deep sorrow regarding a devastating fire incident that occurred in a building in Hyderabad, resulting in the tragic loss of eight lives and injuring several others.
In response, Prime Minister Modi has declared a compensation of Rs 2 lakh for each family affected by this tragedy.
"I am deeply saddened by the loss of lives in the fire disaster in Hyderabad, Telangana. My heartfelt condolences go out to those who have lost their loved ones. I wish a swift recovery for the injured. An ex-gratia payment of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF will be provided to the kin of each deceased, while the injured will receive Rs. 50,000," stated the Prime Minister's Office.
A significant fire erupted in a building at Gulzar Houz near Charminar. The incident led to the death of at least eight individuals, including two children, and left many others injured.
Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G. Kishan Reddy, who visited the scene, informed the media that he would discuss with the Prime Minister the possibility of announcing additional financial support for the victims' families.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has also conveyed his sorrow over this incident.
