In her address to the nation on the eve of the 76th Republic Day, President Murmu emphasized that farmers have put in immense effort to make India self-reliant in food production.

She noted that the workers have tirelessly contributed to enhancing our infrastructure and manufacturing sectors.

“Due to their remarkable contributions, India’s economy now plays a vital role in global economic trends,” she remarked.

She also commended the tremendous advancements made by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in recent years.

“This month, ISRO once again brought pride to the nation with its successful space docking experiment. India has now joined the ranks as the fourth nation in the world to achieve this capability,” stated President Murmu.

She further mentioned that the aspirations of the youth, particularly young women, are pivotal in shaping the ‘India of tomorrow’.

“We are progressing towards the future with pride. The key to our future lies with our youth, especially young women. Their dreams are shaping the India of tomorrow as we approach the centenary of our Independence,” she added.

She also highlighted the success of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ project, which is dear to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Last year, on World Environment Day, we initiated a unique campaign named ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, honoring the nurturing qualities of our mothers and Mother Nature. We achieved our target of planting 80 crore seedlings ahead of schedule,” she noted.

She encouraged the citizens to reaffirm their commitment to fulfill Gandhi ji’s vision.

“His principles of truth and non-violence will always be relevant globally. He instilled in us the understanding that rights and duties are intertwined – indeed, rights stem from duty,” President Murmu stated.

In her address on the eve of the 76th Republic Day, she also congratulated the nation on the day that marked the establishment of the Constitution of India.
