“These new healthcare facilities will not only serve the inhabitants of Dhuri city but also the residents of around 70 nearby villages, positively impacting thousands by making modern healthcare more accessible.”
He further revealed, “Constructed at a cost of Rs 21.65 crore, the hospital complex spans approximately 73,000 square feet and is set to become a vital asset for the region. It will significantly bolster secondary-level healthcare services by providing comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care, emergency services, diagnostic capabilities, and specialized consultations.”
Highlighting the dual-facility structure, the Chief Minister mentioned, “The 50-bedded Sub-Divisional Hospital is designed to deliver comprehensive secondary-level healthcare services, while the 30-bedded Maternal and Child Health Block will greatly enhance maternal, neonatal, and child healthcare, ensuring superior care for mothers and newborns in the area.”
Tracing the history of the hospital, CM Mann shared, “Originally founded in 1978 with a capacity of 30 beds, this facility has now been upgraded to 50 beds, transforming into a modern healthcare establishment with a total capacity of 80 beds, showcasing our government's ongoing commitment to enhancing public healthcare infrastructure.”
In detailing the infrastructure, he stated, “The new facility comprises 13 OPD rooms, a fully equipped emergency block, two registration counters, and seven operating theatres for both major and minor procedures. It also includes advanced diagnostic facilities such as ECG, ultrasound, and X-ray rooms, along with three laboratories to facilitate timely and precise medical testing.”
Moreover, he noted, “The hospital features 12 private rooms, six general wards, a fully operational drug store, an SMO office, 11 nurse stations, and two lifts, all aimed at enhancing patient care and operational efficiency. This upgraded infrastructure will empower doctors to manage emergency cases, accident victims, and critically ill patients more effectively.”
