New Delhi, April 10 (NationPress) In light of ongoing tensions within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha shared a strong message on Instagram asserting that his parliamentary achievements would speak volumes.

On his Instagram account, Chadha released a video stating, “To those who are questioning my performance in parliament, I will let my work do the talking.”

The video showcased a collection of his interventions and inquiries made in the Rajya Sabha, emphasizing various public policy issues he has tackled.

Throughout the video, Chadha addressed numerous topics, including the issue of data expiry, advocating for paternity leave as a legal entitlement, and calling for an end to minimum balance penalties in banking. He also highlighted concerns like food adulteration, incoming call charges, the 28-day recharge scam, taxation issues, and excess baggage fees charged by airlines.

Moreover, he discussed larger systemic challenges such as paper leak scandals, air pollution, the exploitation of gig economy workers, delays in health insurance claims, and questionable practices at toll plazas. His remarks also touched on overpriced airport food, data privacy violations, the call for free annual health check-ups as a fundamental right, and increasing airfare costs.

Chadha further emphasized issues related to digital copyright strikes, necessary GST reforms, the debt-to-GDP ratio, and tax relief for individuals with disabilities and military personnel. His contributions also included discussions on the legalization of virtual digital assets, labor reforms like the “right to hire and fire,” and comparisons between taxation systems and service delivery standards.

Other significant matters raised included rising inflation rates, the cancer train initiative in Punjab, joint tax filing, rural banking infrastructure improvements, water scarcity challenges, and the digitization of land records using blockchain technology. He also advocated for the expansion of UDAN cafes across India, addressed urban traffic congestion, called out misleading product branding, and highlighted the educational-employment gap.

The video further illustrated his demands for wage indexation, the conferring of the Bharat Ratna on Bhagat Singh, the initiative of 'One Nation, One Medical Treatment,' menstrual hygiene advocacy, and Minimum Support Price (MSP) guarantees for farmers. Additionally, Chadha expressed concerns regarding diminishing groundwater levels in Punjab, access to clean drinking water, and challenges related to the state's cultural heritage and infrastructure, including international flight connectivity.

This post emerges amid growing speculation regarding Chadha’s standing within the AAP. On April 8, he shared another Instagram post that caught attention, featuring a purported supporter suggesting that he should establish a new youth-oriented political party rather than joining existing ones.

In a 22-second clip, the supporter proposed that a “Gen Z party” could be a more appealing option for Chadha, as it would garner robust support from the youth while avoiding potential backlash from aligning with another political entity. Chadha responded to the clip with a brief remark, stating “Interesting thought” alongside a contemplative emoji.

The developments follow recent organizational changes within the party. On April 2, AAP appointed Ashok Mittal as the new Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha, succeeding Chadha in this role. This move was perceived as a notable organizational shift, introducing a new figure from Punjab.

Earlier, on April 3, Chadha addressed the situation by stating that he had been “silenced, not defeated.”
