New Delhi, Aug 10 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi launched a fierce critique against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday, alleging that he and the Opposition’s INDIA bloc are engaged in a plot to damage India's democratic standing, influenced by foreign and anti-India forces.
During a press briefing, Trivedi accused Gandhi and his associates of serving as agents for foreign powers.
He asserted that Rahul Gandhi has consistently misrepresented facts to both the courts and the public, especially concerning elections and voter registrations. “Once again, the Election Commission has unveiled one of Rahul Gandhi’s deceptions. He has been asked to validate his so-called data, yet he has failed to do so—because the claims are unfounded,” Trivedi stated.
The BJP representative charged Gandhi with “undermining constitutional institutions due to his frustration over continuous electoral failures” and making unfounded claims against the Election Commission. Addressing concerns about Bihar’s voter list, he highlighted that any citizen could submit corrections to the EC until September 1.
“If the INDIA bloc’s 1.6 lakh booth-level agents had verified just 4–5 voters each day over the past 10 days, the situation would have been rectified. However, Rahul Gandhi opts to script falsehoods,” he commented, also noting the opposition’s silence regarding alleged counterfeit voter ID cards associated with RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.
He questioned the origin of Rahul Gandhi’s assertion of “one lakh voters” in Bengaluru Central, inquiring whether such information was disclosed to the media, the public, MPs, or the Election Commission. He further accused Gandhi of propagating “falsehoods” regarding Operation Sindoor, asserting that the Army’s official statements had rendered him mute.
“Rahul Gandhi has solicited foreign entities from abroad to meddle in India’s democratic processes. Now, the INDIA bloc is colluding with foreign infiltrators in an effort to plunder our democracy,” Trivedi cautioned.
Concluding with a personal remark, Trivedi characterized Gandhi as a “modern incarnation of a loudmouth who prioritizes words over actions,” claiming he has “diminished the dignity of the Leader of Opposition’s post.”
