Why Was Rajanna Expelled by Congress for Speaking the Truth?

Bengaluru, Aug 12 (NationPress) The Congress party has expelled a senior leader from the ST community for simply stating the truth, which is utterly reprehensible, asserted Union Minister for Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Prahlad Joshi.

During a press interaction in New Delhi on Tuesday, Joshi highlighted that K.N. Rajanna, a prominent leader from the ST community in Karnataka, was expelled following his truthful remarks regarding Rahul Gandhi's allegations of "vote theft". Joshi contended that this expulsion was directly linked to Rajanna's honesty.

Joshi criticized the removal of Rajanna from his ministerial role, branding it as a manifestation of Rahul Gandhi's arrogance. He questioned, "What wrong has Rajanna committed? The Congress party must reflect on this decision," he stated.

In regard to the vote theft allegations made by Rahul Gandhi, Rajanna had declared during the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka that their government was in control. He asserted that all electoral officers, from district to assistant commissioners, belonged to their party and should have overseen the voter lists provided by the Election Commission. Joshi asked, "What is incorrect about this assertion?"

K.N. Rajanna, a 72-year-old veteran and influential figure from the ST community, being expelled illustrates how the Congress party regards Dalits and honest individuals, Joshi remarked.

Concerning the vote theft claims, Joshi stated that all Rahul Gandhi possesses are mere fabrications, not the documents issued by the State Chief Electoral Officer. He accused Gandhi of misleading the public, noting that the Election Commission presented a draft voter list on October 27, followed by a final list in January, without a single objection filed by the Congress party.

Joshi pointed out that Rahul Gandhi alleged that 80 individuals voted from a single room at house number 35 without realizing the facts. He clarified that house number 35 encompasses a large housing block with multiple families residing there, with 80 voters belonging to diverse households. Even the building's owner has validated this, yet Rahul Gandhi continues to hide the truth and propagate falsehoods, Joshi alleged.

Rajanna, who previously served as the State Cooperation Minister, was requested to resign following his comments criticizing Rahul Gandhi's press conference in Delhi and protests in Bengaluru regarding voter fraud.

"If there was any voter fraud, the Congress should have raised this issue much earlier," he concluded.
