Bengaluru, Aug 11 (NationPress) The Karnataka Leader of the Opposition, R. Ashoka, asserted on Monday that Minister for Cooperation K.N. Rajanna was compelled to resign due to his remarks about the election "fraud".
According to Ashoka, “Minister Rajanna has been dismissed solely for stating the truth. This signals an upcoming ‘October revolution’ within the Congress party in Karnataka,” referencing Rajanna’s previous comments about a forthcoming transformation in the Congress.
He emphasized that the Congress party has a deep-seated aversion to the truth, stating they simply cannot endure it.
“On Sunday, Congress leaders made sure a complaint was filed with the high command against Minister Rajanna, demanding his suspension. The allegations of election fraud have proven baseless, which only confirms Rajanna’s statements,” Ashoka remarked.
He further mentioned that Minister Rajanna is part of the ST Valmiki community, accusing the Congress of betraying that entire group.
“The Congress-led administration is already on unstable ground, and the public awaits its collapse in the state,” Ashoka added.
By accepting Rajanna’s resignation, the Congress party’s true nature regarding their token support for Rahul Gandhi and Dalits has been revealed, criticized BJP State President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra.
Vijayendra pointed out that Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi had claimed that the BJP came to power at the Centre and Narendra Modi became Prime Minister through a conspiracy involving the Election Commission.
“We in the BJP distinctly rejected these statements. Rahul Gandhi, who has consistently failed to gain the public’s trust in the Lok Sabha elections, made these claims, which lack any basis,” he stressed.
Vijayendra observed that Rajanna had indicated that Rahul Gandhi’s allegations against the Election Commission were incorrect and that such irregularities occurred during the Congress administration.
“Unable to tolerate the truth, the Congress high command unconditionally accepted the resignation of senior minister Rajanna, who belongs to the oppressed class. This is certainly unjust,” he criticized.
Previously, Minister for Cooperation K.N. Rajanna submitted his resignation to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Sources disclosed that Siddaramaiah was making last-minute attempts with the party high command to retain Rajanna. However, the high command reportedly did not accept any justification from Siddaramaiah and is unhappy with Rajanna’s comments regarding the election "fraud" issue raised by Rahul Gandhi.
