Jaipur, March 30 (NationPress) The newly appointed convener of the Rajasthan Cricket Association’s (RCA) Ad-hoc Committee, Mohit Yadav, has indicated major changes, announcing that the long-overdue RCA elections will take place soon.

Yadav stated that the responsibility given by the state government will be executed with utmost seriousness and dedication.

“Our aim is to enhance both the operations and strategic direction of the RCA. You will soon see positive outcomes,” he remarked.

In addressing the tensions with former convener Deendayal Kumawat, Yadav recognized existing differences but insisted that cricketing activities must not be hindered.

“While our methods may not align, our ultimate goal is the same. Some objectives remained unmet previously, but with this new team, we will achieve them,” he added.

The newly formed Ad-hoc Committee comprises Mohit Yadav, Dhananjay Singh Khimsar, Ashish Tiwari, Arisht Singhvi, and Arjun Beniwal, all of whom are now in charge.

Yadav highlighted that organizing RCA elections, which have been pending for nearly two years, will be their primary focus.

“We will accelerate the process to ensure the association receives a stable, democratically elected leadership,” he stated.

He also voiced disappointment over Rajasthan being allocated only four IPL matches this season, deeming it insufficient.

Yadav pledged to improve planning for next year to secure additional matches for the state and mentioned efforts to host the Rajasthan Premier League (RPL) locally.

Dhananjay Singh Khimsar, a senior member of the committee and president of the Jodhpur District Cricket Association, expressed optimism about the new leadership.

Citing a couplet, he said, “Let us put yesterday behind; now is the time to craft a new narrative together.”

He added, “Under Mohit Yadav’s guidance, we are assured that elections will be conducted swiftly, heralding a new chapter.”

Addressing ongoing disputes, Khimsar noted, “The truth may face challenges, but it can never be vanquished,” hinting at a desire to move past controversies.

In response to former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's criticism regarding the involvement of politicians' sons in the committee, member Ashish Tiwari defended their inclusion.

“All members have attained their positions through a democratic process by winning district-level elections. These claims are unfounded. Being a politician's son does not diminish anyone's rights,” he asserted.

With the new Ad-hoc Committee established, there are heightened expectations for prompt elections and enhanced cricket governance in Rajasthan, potentially marking a transformative era for the sport in the state.
