Jaipur, March 28 (NationPress) Following the directives from Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a recent assembly with Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors regarding the ongoing situation in West Asia, Rajasthan's Chief Secretary, V. Srinivas, organized a crucial review meeting with department heads at the State Secretariat on Saturday.

The gathering focused on the assessment of the availability and distribution of LPG, petrol, diesel, and fertilizers throughout the state.

The Chief Secretary assured that sufficient stocks of LPG, petrol, diesel, and fertilizers are present in Rajasthan, alleviating public concerns. He instructed all departments to collaborate effectively to ensure a consistent supply and to provide maximum assistance to the populace.

Srinivas mentioned that the supply chain has improved due to enhanced domestic LPG production and alternative sourcing strategies beyond West Asia. The distribution for domestic consumers, hospitals, and institutions remains uninterrupted, and the supply of commercial LPG cylinders has also been restored.

He urged the Agriculture Department to guarantee that farmers experience no shortfalls in fertilizer supplies, including urea and DAP. He stressed that there should be no misappropriation or black market activities concerning fertilizers, ensuring that high-demand districts receive adequate supplies while promoting nano urea and bio-fertilizers.

Highlighting the importance of long-term energy security, Srinivas mandated that the expansion of PNG (piped natural gas) connections be prioritized. He set an ambitious target of 500,000 PNG connections to be achieved swiftly, while also advocating for the extension of pipeline infrastructure to broader regions. Oil and gas companies were directed to coordinate necessary actions with relevant departments.

The Chief Secretary also emphasized the effective implementation of welfare schemes to provide relief to the public. He ordered the issuance of daily price monitoring reports and called for stringent measures against hoarding and black market practices.

Srinivas underscored the importance of preventing panic buying and ordered strict actions against those disseminating false information. He stated that the Information and Public Relations Department must provide regular factual updates to bolster public trust.

He added that security measures should be heightened at fertilizer and LPG storage facilities, and complaints received through helplines should be addressed promptly. Additionally, he proposed the establishment of more EV charging stations and the promotion of public transportation as well as retrofitted vehicles.

Srinivas noted that necessary assistance is being provided to Rajasthani citizens working in Gulf countries due to the current global circumstances.

Reaffirming the state's readiness, he declared that sufficient reserves, vigilant monitoring, and coordinated governance systems are in place to effectively manage the situation.
