Rajasthan High Court Grants Bail to 16 Trainee Sub-Inspectors in Recruitment Exam Leak Case

Jaipur, Dec 12 (NationPress) On Thursday, the Rajasthan High Court approved bail for 16 trainee Sub-Inspectors (SIs) implicated in the SI Recruitment-2021 paper leak controversy. These individuals were accused of having accessed the leaked exam paper before the actual test took place.

The suspects reportedly viewed the leaked paper on the mobile device of handler Suresh Sahu roughly 90 minutes prior to the examination.

Justice Ganesharam Meena ordered their release, denying the bail request from Suresh Sahu, who was responsible for facilitating their access to the compromised paper.

Previously, on November 22, the court had granted bail to another 10 trainee SIs, bringing the total number of released candidates to 26.

According to their defense attorney Vedant Sharma, the trainees released on bail include Vivek Bhambhu, Shravan Kumar Vishnoi, Renu Kumari, Naresh Kumar, Ajay Vishnoi, Narangi Kumari, Dinesh Kumar, Surendra Kumar Bagadia, Dinesh Vishnoi, Malaram, Subhash Vishnoi, Priyanka Kumari, Rakesh, Manju Devi, Surjeet Singh Yadav, and Gopi Ram Jangu.

Among those granted bail was Vivek Bhambhu, the sibling of the alleged mastermind behind the paper leak, Unik Bhambhu. Following his arrest, authorities executed a raid at his home in Churu on July 22. As a result, the Nagar Parishad demolished unauthorized structures on two plots in Poonia Colony, Churu.

The SI Recruitment-2021 examination was marked by extensive malpractice, leading to an investigation by the Special Operations Group (SOG).

So far, 50 trainee SIs and more than 30 individuals associated with the paper leak gang have been apprehended, with several other suspects still under investigation.

The first trainee SI linked to this scandal was arrested in April, and thus far, 26 have been granted bail.
