Jaipur, Nov 11 (NationPress) The healthcare framework in Rajasthan is undergoing significant enhancement through cutting-edge technological advancements.
With the leadership of Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA ID) has become a requirement within the Integrated Health Management System (IHMS). This move aims to provide more efficient, transparent, and digital healthcare services to every resident.
Minister Khinvsar highlighted that the Rajasthan Digital Health Mission was initiated to make health services cohesive and readily available throughout the state.
As part of this program, ABHA IDs are being assigned to every individual to secure health records and streamline access to medical care. Gayatri Rathore, Principal Secretary of the Medical and Health Department, mentioned that all citizens utilizing healthcare services under the Mukhyamantri Nirogi Rajasthan Yojana (MNNRY) will now be required to register with IHMS using their ABHA ID.
Healthcare facilities have been directed to create and associate the patient's ABHA ID during each OPD and IPD registration, aligning with the vision of “One Nation, One Health ID.”
Dr Amit Yadav, Mission Director of the National Health Mission, clarified that the ABHA ID functions as a unique digital identifier that securely consolidates all health records in a single location.
Citizens can access their health information at any time via a mobile application or online portal and share it with healthcare providers for quicker, paperless, and accurate treatment. This initiative will improve transparency and ease access to government health initiatives and digital healthcare services.
In cases where demographic verification fails, an ABHA ID will be generated using an OTP-based system. Hospitals are also encouraged to implement the “Scan and Share” feature for more efficient registration.
Dr Yadav further stated that all institutions have been instructed to ensure complete ABHA-linked registrations. To date, 6.37 crore ABHA IDs have been created.
