Jaipur, March 26 (NationPress) Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, while addressing the Vikas Bharat Yuva Sansad, underscored that the youth of today embody the true essence of India. He pointed out that the future of the nation lies on the capable shoulders of young individuals and highlighted the critical role of upholding democratic principles.

Devnani reaffirmed that the Constitution of India is the highest authority and cannot be altered, acting as the bedrock of India's democratic system.

He called upon all citizens to safeguard and adhere to the Constitution for the progress of the nation. He ceremonially inaugurated the state-level Vikas Bharat Yuva Sansad, organized by the Rajasthan chapter of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association in partnership with the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Nehru Yuva Kendra, by lighting a ceremonial lamp at the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly.

In his address, Devnani emphasized the importance of resilience and determination, citing astronaut Sunita Williams as a role model for women in India.

He urged the preservation of India's cultural and national values, drawing inspiration from historical figures like Rana Sanga, Chhatrapati Shivaji, and Chhatrapati Maharaj Sambhaji, who epitomize India's rich heritage. He stressed the necessity of collectively maintaining faith in democracy and democratic institutions. He noted that India's elected government is working diligently to position the nation as a global leader.

Devnani emphasized that democracy is not merely a political framework but an ideology that is deeply rooted in India's philosophy and vision. He called for active involvement in tackling pressing national issues such as population control, social discrimination, casteism, regionalism, corruption, and dishonesty.

He highlighted that every citizen should contribute to realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India by 2047 through commitment and responsibility. Encouraging youth participation in governance, he reminded them they are the future leaders—Prime Ministers, Presidents, MPs, and MLAs of tomorrow.

He urged the youth to actively participate in nation-building and democratic processes, embodying the democratic spirit reflected in the ancient Sanskrit verse: Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Niramayaah—wishing for universal happiness and well-being.

Leader of Opposition Tika Ram Jully acknowledged India's diversity and the unifying power of democracy. He emphasized the importance of youth involvement in politics, stating that politics serves as the foundation for development.

He affirmed that with proper guidance, the youth can elevate the nation to unprecedented heights.

He commended Rajasthan’s history of valor and heroism, encouraging the youth of the state to embrace their historic resilience. Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Secretary Sandeep Sharma praised the Vikas Bharat Yuva Sansad initiative, aligning it with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision. Secretary of the Sports and Youth Department, Dr. Neeraj Kumar Pawan, expressed gratitude for the initiative.

He revealed that 140 young individuals, aged 18 to 25, were selected from across Rajasthan through a competitive process led by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

These selected youth will partake in discussions in the Legislative Assembly, with three exceptional participants advancing to represent Rajasthan in the National Youth Parliament. The event highlighted the crucial role of youth in fortifying democracy and steering India toward a prosperous future.
