Jaipur, February 13 (NationPress) Strict measures will be enforced against government employees who arrive late or are absent without authorization in Rajasthan, following directives from Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.
The Chief Minister highlighted the necessity of timely service delivery to the public, urging officials to be present at their assigned desks punctually. Government staff are required to effectively handle citizens' issues and provide comprehensive information about government schemes, including eligibility and application procedures, to facilitate smooth public service.
He also instructed that the needs of citizens visiting government offices should be addressed promptly, ensuring they encounter no difficulties, and that government staff should occupy their seats at the designated time to resolve issues and inform the public regarding the benefits, eligibility, and application processes for government schemes.
To implement this directive, the Department of Administrative Reforms and Coordination has sent out several teams for office evaluations and feedback gathering.
Administrative Secretary Urmila Rajoria mentioned that a departmental team led by Deputy Administrative Secretary Mahendra Parewa conducted surprise checks at various government offices in the Hanumangarh district headquarters on Thursday.
During these inspections, 92 attendance registers were confiscated, indicating that 21.42 percent of gazetted officers and 13.45 percent of non-gazetted employees were absent.
The government has promised that strict disciplinary actions will be taken against those who are absent in accordance with regulations.
The state-level inspection team comprises Section Officer Mahendra Kumar Saravata, Assistant Section Officer Chena Ram Bhadala, and Dayaram Gurjar.
