Rajnath Singh to Offer 'Chadar' at Ajmer Sharif Dargah on January 5

Jaipur, January 4 (NationPress) Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to present a 'chadar' at the Ajmer Sharif Dargah this Sunday in honor of the auspicious occasion of the Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, the venerated Sufi saint.

The 'chadar', which will be offered by the Defence Minister, is set to be delivered at the Ajmer Sharif by Munawar Khan, the former Vice President of the Dargah Committee.

He plans to leave his residence in Jaipur at 12 p.m. and is expected to reach Ajmer by 2 p.m.

After the offering, a message from Rajnath Singh will be announced from the Buland Darwaza.

During the ongoing 813th Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, a 'chadar' sent by former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje was also laid at the shrine on Saturday.

Devotions were made for peace and harmony throughout the nation and the state.

After the offering, Vasundhara Raje's message was publicly read.

Khadim Syed Afshan Chishti mentioned that the 'chadar' sent by Vasundhara Raje, the former Rajasthan Chief Minister and BJP's National Vice-President, was presented on this occasion.

The 'chadar' was brought to the Sufi shrine in Ajmer by Majeed Malik Commando, a member of the BJP National executive.

Prayers were also made for the long life of Vasundhara Raje and for peace and brotherhood to thrive in the nation.

The message from the former Chief Minister was recited following the offering.

Earlier on Saturday morning, Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister for Minority and Parliamentary Affairs, presented a 'chadar' on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and conveyed his message.

The 'chadar' from Prime Minister Modi was placed at the dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding the Ajmer Dargah.

On Saturday, Union Minister Rijiju arrived in Ajmer carrying the Prime Minister's 'chadar'.

At the dargah, Minister Rijiju offered prayers for peace and unity in the country and read a message from the Prime Minister.

"On the auspicious occasion of the 813th Urs Mubarak of Garib Nawaz, I extend my heartfelt greetings to his followers worldwide and all the devotees at Ajmer Sharif. Throughout history, our saints, pirs, faqirs, and great spiritual leaders have illuminated lives with their noble and welfare-oriented teachings. Among them, Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti's messages of humanity and public welfare have had a lasting impact on countless individuals. His life and teachings continue to inspire deep faith among followers globally. Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti's commitment to promoting love and harmony in society lights the way for future generations. The annual Urs celebration is crucial in strengthening the bonds of unity and mutual respect among people. I am confident that this occasion will encourage everyone to contribute meaningfully to our nation's and society's betterment. As I send a 'chadar' to the revered Dargah Sharif on this special occasion, I bow to Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti and pray for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of all my fellow countrymen," stated Prime Minister Modi in his message.
