New Delhi, Feb 20 (NationPress) As she prepares to take the oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta stated that any individuals involved in corruption over the past 12 years will face accountability. “During the last 12 years, the AAP has governed Delhi, and they must take responsibility for the corruption issues that have arisen. They will need to justify every rupee that belongs to the public... Anyone involved in corruption must account for every rupee,” the CM-designate remarked to reporters outside her residence in Shalimar Bagh.

She expressed that this new role represents a “fresh motivation and a new chapter” for her.

As the newly elected BJP MLA, Rekha Gupta will assume her position as the Chief Minister of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, alongside six ministers in her cabinet.

President Droupadi Murmu has formally appointed the CM and her cabinet members. A notification was issued by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday, indicating that their appointments would take effect upon their swearing-in.

“The President is pleased to appoint Mrs. Rekha Gupta as the Chief Minister of the National Capital Territory of Delhi effective from the date she is sworn in,” the notification signed by Praveen Kumar Rai, joint secretary, stated.

The notification lists six MLAs who will take the oath as ministers: Parvesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ravinder Indraj Singh, Kapil Mishra, and Pankaj Kumar Singh.

The grand ceremony for the swearing-in of the new Chief Minister of Delhi and her ministers will occur at Ramlila Maidan, with a large turnout anticipated.

This ceremony is expected to be a prestigious event, with attendance from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Cabinet, and Chief Ministers from various states.

On Wednesday, CM-designate Rekha Gupta expressed her appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party leadership for their confidence in her, stating, “I will meet his expectations.”
