Patna, April 5 (NationPress) Despite the fact that Patna Police were on high alert for the Ram Navami festivities, a significant robbery has startled the authorities and sparked doubts regarding security measures.
On Saturday evening, unknown assailants made off with valuables totaling around ₹1 crore from a residence in Nalanda Colony, which falls under the Agamkuan Police Station's jurisdiction.
The incident took place at the home of Santosh Prakash, an automobile parts trader.
As per family reports, the intruders entered their home, held every family member at gunpoint, and stole cash, gold, diamond jewelry, and other valuable assets totaling approximately ₹1 crore.
K. Ramdas, City SP (East), confirmed the occurrence and visited the scene to supervise the investigation.
“We have deployed the dog squad and forensic experts to collect evidence and pursue the offenders,” stated Ramdas.
The police have also initiated a review of CCTV footage from nearby areas to gather information and identify the perpetrators.
