At the time of the incident, Gupta's wife was in poor health, while his son, Shatrughan Gupta, had stepped out to procure medicines.
Upon returning home, Shatrughan Gupta was confronted by the robbers at the entrance.
During the chaos, he and his brother, Laxman Gupta, managed to escape from the house while shouting for assistance.
As nearby residents rushed to the scene, the criminals reportedly threw several bombs to deter them.
Bombs were also aimed at watchmen Sikandar Rai, Indal Raut, and Ram Chandra Rai, but fortunately, all three evaded serious injury.
The Station House Officer (SHO) at Kanhauli police station confirmed that two individuals sustained injuries during the robbery and were treated at a primary health center, with their condition now stable.
Local police responded swiftly to the incident.
Senior officials, including the Superintendent of Police (SP) and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), examined the crime scene.
