New Delhi, April 23 (NationPress) Spiritual leader and founder of the Isha Foundation, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, condemned the heinous act of terrorism in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, and emphasized the necessity of addressing terrorists with an iron fist.

Sadhguru conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the tourists who tragically lost their lives in a targeted attack by heavily armed militants in the Baisaran area of Pahalgam.

He strongly condemned the terror attack and reflected on the broader implications of such actions, highlighting the significance of a coordinated national response.

“The aim of terrorism is not warfare but to instill fear within a society. Its goal is to generate chaos, divide communities, hinder the nation's economic progress, and promote lawlessness at all levels,” Sadhguru remarked in a post on X.

“To safeguard and uphold the sovereignty of our nation, these threats must be confronted with determined resolve and an iron hand,” he added.

Sadhguru also discussed long-term strategies for combating terrorism, underscoring the need for a more equitable approach to education, economic opportunities, and social welfare.

“There are comprehensive, long-lasting solutions—ensuring fair access to education, economic chances, wealth distribution, and welfare for everyone,” he stated.

“At this juncture, it is crucial for our nation to unite beyond superficial divides of religion, caste, creed, or political beliefs, and to support our security forces in fulfilling their roles,” Sadhguru noted.

At least 26 innocent individuals were killed as terrorists unleashed violence on a gathering of tourists in this abhorrent attack. In the meantime, security agencies have initiated a multi-tier investigation and counter-terrorism operation, while security forces are conducting an extensive manhunt to capture the assailants. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has also dispatched a high-level team led by an Inspector General to aid the local law enforcement.
