Sandeep Dikshit Critiques Kejriwal's Decade in Office

New Delhi, Dec 13 (NationPress) Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit has shown confidence in his candidacy for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections and stated that no one praises Kejriwal's ten-year governance.
Sandeep Dikshit, the son of the late Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, criticized Kejriwal's administration, asserting, “The way Sheila Dikshit transformed Delhi, this man has devastated it. The legacy of her efforts is what keeps Delhi running today.”
Pointing out essential elements in local elections, Dikshit stressed that a candidate's achievements within their constituency and the performance of the government are vital. On both accounts, he claimed that Kejriwal and AAP have faltered. “There isn’t a single person on the streets of Delhi who praises Kejriwal’s ten-year tenure. The roads, infrastructure, and public services that were once established during Sheila Ji’s administration are now in shambles,” he asserted.
When questioned about his mother's legacy, Dikshit expressed certainty that it would aid both him and the Congress party. He commented, “It is uncommon for any political leader's legacy to be honored with such esteem even a decade after their term. Sheila Dikshit’s fifteen years of service in Delhi are unparalleled.”
Dikshit also discussed the current situation of the AAP, highlighting the departure of leaders from the party and internal discord. “AAP is in a significantly weakened state. More than half of their sitting MLAs have been replaced, and many of their candidates are former Congress leaders who were unable to secure tickets with us. This reflects their desperation,” he explained.
Regarding AAP’s promise of transferring Rs 2,100 per month to women’s accounts, Dikshit dismissed it as empty rhetoric, stating, “Why didn’t they launch this scheme earlier in their decade-long rule? Even in Punjab, where they pledged similar benefits, it has not been executed. These announcements are merely a last-ditch effort to restore their dwindling credibility.”
In conclusion, Dikshit expressed positivity about Congress’ future, claiming, “I am confident that Delhi’s voters, who witnessed the development during Sheila Dikshit’s time, will place their trust in Congress once more. By 2025, no government in Delhi will be formed without Congress.”
