Patna, Feb 9 (NationPress) Following the remarkable success of the BJP in the Delhi elections, JD(U) MP Sanjay Jha credited the Poorvanchali voters for the downfall of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), claiming they were pivotal in their vote against the party led by Arvind Kejriwal.
"The derogatory comments made by Arvind Kejriwal towards Poorvanchalis during his campaign proved detrimental for him and his party. Over the past decade, essential services have been lacking in Delhi, with 70 percent of the city now resembling slums. We highlighted these concerns throughout our campaign," Jha stated.
He also referenced the corruption allegations against AAP's leadership, mentioning that former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia are currently imprisoned on corruption charges.
Jha underscored that the disunity within the INDIA bloc significantly contributed to AAP's loss.
"Nitish Kumar was the first to identify the shortcomings in the INDIA bloc and withdrew in January 2024 to ally with the NDA. His move has been validated following the Delhi elections," he remarked.
In response to RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav's assertion that Bihar politics is distinct, Jha stated that voters in Bihar have consistently supported the NDA in both the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections and recent by-elections.
"Tejashwi has been attempting to decipher Bihar for the last 20 years, but the election outcomes reveal his standings. In the by-elections, we captured seats that RJD had occupied for over 30 years. The NDA and Nitish Kumar possess a deeper understanding of Bihar than the opposition," he commented.
Jha also endorsed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's views on Bihar, emphasizing that under CM Nitish, the state has witnessed substantial advancement.
"The citizens of Bihar back Nitish Kumar due to his development initiatives. His ongoing Pragati Yatra is a testament to his dedication to Bihar's growth. We are optimistic that, under his leadership, the NDA will secure a significant victory in the Bihar elections," Jha concluded.
As the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 draw near, JD(U) and NDA are firmly establishing their positions, relying on Nitish Kumar's governance and the BJP's national prominence.
