He made these remarks during the flag-off event for the Vikas Rath, celebrating the two-year milestone of the Rajasthan government.
Shekhawat extended his congratulations to Barmer district for its remarkable accomplishment, noting that during his time as Union Minister for Jal Shakti, the district had undertaken commendable initiatives in rainwater harvesting and water preservation.
He stated that Barmer’s outstanding performance in the past year was acknowledged nationally, culminating in the district receiving a prestigious President's Award along with a monetary prize of Rs 1 crore.
He credited the success to District Collector Tina Dabi, her dedicated team, local public representatives, BJP members, and the district administration.
Shekhawat highlighted the government’s effective governance model, stating that Information and Communication Technology (ICT) initiatives are designed to guarantee that government schemes benefit every citizen without exclusion.
He remarked that unlike previous administrations, where schemes were purportedly executed with political favoritism, the governance model established since 2014 is centered on last-mile delivery in alignment with the Prime Minister’s vision.
The Union Minister asserted that the double-engine government has not only facilitated the rapid execution of central schemes in Rajasthan but has also launched innovative initiatives.
Referencing the Ujjwala scheme, he mentioned that LPG cylinders are now available at Rs 450, involving substantial subsidies.
In his address to the youth, Shekhawat stated they are fortunate to be part of a generation experiencing transformative change in the country and encouraged them to engage in nation-building in their chosen fields.
