Thane, April 16 (NationPress) Shiv Sena MP and Spokesperson Naresh Mhaske fiercely criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s administration on Wednesday, calling for her government’s immediate dismissal due to its alleged inability to safeguard Hindus from ongoing communal violence.
During a press conference, Mhaske denounced recent attacks targeting Hindu families in Bengal, accusing the state government of deliberate negligence and catering to vote-bank interests.
“Hindu families are being terrorized and displaced from their homes. Following the Centre’s passage of the Waqf Board (Amendment) Bill, individuals from a specific community have violently assaulted Hindus. In Murshidabad, lawless mobs invaded a Hindu residence, killing family members in front of police and setting their property and vehicles ablaze,” Mhaske asserted.
He stated that this represents a failure sponsored by the state, emphasizing that Mamata Banerjee is not merely ignoring the situation but is complicit through her silence.
“Her government must be dismissed immediately,” he reiterated.
Mhaske also revealed that a Shiv Sena delegation would soon travel to West Bengal to meet with affected families and evaluate the situation firsthand.
Sharpening his criticism, he accused Banerjee of favoring minority appeasement over justice.
“To protect her Muslim vote bank, Mamata Banerjee has become powerless. Her silence is criminal today. She resembles Tahawwur Rana, one of the perpetrators behind the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Henceforth, she deserves the name ‘Mamata Rana’,” he claimed.
Mhaske also directed his ire towards the Shiv Sena (UBT) chief, questioning his silence concerning the violence in West Bengal.
“He professes to support Hindutva, yet he once hosted Mamata Banerjee at Matoshree. Where is his outrage now? Why hasn’t he condemned the atrocities against Hindus in Bengal?” he questioned.
Recalling previous instances of violence in the state, such as the 2018 Ram Navami riots in Raniganj and conflicts during Lok Sabha and panchayat elections, Mhaske stated that this pattern of unrest indicates systemic failure and appeasement by the Bengal government.
“Just as Kashmiri Pandits were forced to leave their homeland during Congress rule, Hindus in Bengal are experiencing a similar exodus now. Yet, leaders of the INDIA alliance remain shamefully silent, fearing Mamata,” he remarked.
Meanwhile, Mhaske took the chance to highlight the ideological demise of the Shiv Sena (UBT), asserting: “Eknath Shinde is the rightful heir to Balasaheb Thackeray’s legacy. The public confirmed this in both the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. Meanwhile, Uddhav Thackeray’s faction has deteriorated to the point where they depend on AI to replicate Balasaheb’s voice. That illustrates their identity crisis—their ideology is lost, their minds are fractured, and their leadership is empty.”
He mocked Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut, stating that he is like a dying ember. “Raut emits smoke occasionally, but there’s no real fire left,” he claimed.
