Shivraj Singh Chouhan Aims to Transform Vidisha into an Agricultural Model

Bhopal, Dec 7 (NationPress) Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated on Saturday that all necessary actions will be implemented to establish Vidisha -- the Lok Sabha constituency he represents in Madhya Pradesh -- as a benchmark for agriculture and horticulture in the near future.
The minister emphasized that he would collaborate with the district administration and instruct officials to formulate a detailed blueprint for the systematic execution of plans.
“Farmers and government personnel involved in the agricultural sector will also participate in this initiative,” said the minister following a meeting with senior officials at the collector's office in Vidisha.
He also reviewed the implementation of public welfare schemes by the Centre, including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (MPAY) and Jal Jeevan Mission.
“We have committed to making Vidisha a model district for agriculture and horticulture. PM Modi has launched several initiatives to support farmers, and we must ensure that the maximum number of individuals benefit from these programs,” Chouhan remarked.
In addition, the minister, along with district officials and public representatives, viewed the inaugural episode of 'Krishi Chaupal' broadcasted on Doordarshan. This program allows farmers to engage directly with agricultural specialists through live Q&A sessions.
“The Krishi Chaupal program commenced on Saturday and will air on the first Saturday of every month. It aims to equip farmers with new techniques and innovations from agricultural experts and scientists,” he added.
Furthermore, the minister discussed the 'Ladli Ladli Behna Yojana', a financial incentive for women introduced in Madhya Pradesh during his term as Chief Minister in 2023.
“Ladli Behna Yojana has significantly transformed society,” he stated.
